WHAT COMES WITH MY BOUTIQUE CAMPING TENT?

Our bell tents come with everything you'll need in order to use the tent straight away. HAVE BOUTIQUE CAMPING BELL TENTS HAVE A WIND SPEED RATING?

Generally, if there's going to be high winds of around 40/50mph, we would advise to take the bell tent down as this is very testing on the products, not matter how robust and our manufacturer warranty does not cover extreme weather damage.

We don’t have an exact wind pressure measurement for our bell tents unfortunately, but it's very important to make sure this is in a settled area, as well as making sure that the guys ropes are tight and the pegs knocked completely into the ground.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PITCH A BOUTIQUE CAMPING TENT?

Depending on the design and size you choose, pitching our tents can take anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes. We have designed our tents to be as easy to pitch as possible, but for larger tents or more complex structures, we recommend having an extra pair of hands to help. HOW MANY YEARS WILL YOUR BELL TENT LAST FOR?

While our bell tents are built for longevity, personal care and usage impact their lifespan. Essential maintenance includes thorough drying before storage to prevent mould. For semi-permanent setups, reproofing/cleaning every 4-6 weeks is vital. Tent designed for temporary use; yearly reproofing/cleaning suits occasional summer camping. Detailed guide here.

ARE BOUTIQUE CAMPING TENTS WATERPROOF?

Our bell tents are treated with water repellent, causing water or rain to bead.  All of our tents are water tight. Our Oxford range is a waterproof fabric material which has a hydrostatic head rating of 3000mm which has proven great protection against moderate storms, however due to this, Oxford is a non-breathable material for highest performance. In regards to our canvas tents which include Polycotton and Cotton and have also been treated with a water-repelling agent, these are a breathable material and although are still water-tight, overtime they will need to be reproofed to maintain waterproof.

HOW MUCH PITCHING SPACE DO I NEED TO ERECT MY BELL TENT?

To ensure your tent's vital guy ropes or straps have plenty of space to created a tight tension, we advise a minimum requirement of 2m external space. WHICH BELL TENT DESIGNS HAVE THE BEST HEAD SPACE?

If you're seeking a tent without any restrictions to the upper ceiling space, a classic tipi-shaped bell tent will not be suitable due to its sloping walls. We have worked hard to revolutionise the classic and well loved deign without these limits! The Luna Bell tent, Nova Air Dome tent both have high walls which give you full standing space. WHAT IS GSM?

GSM refers to grams per square meter. This is a measurement used to express the density or weight of a substance per unit area. It's commonly used to quantify the density or thickness of materials like paper, fabric, plastic, and other sheet-like materials. Essentially, the higher the GSM, the heavier and thicker the fabric. WHAT FABRIC ARE BOUTIQUE CAMPING BELL TENTS?

We offer three different fabrics which all have their own qualities.

Oxford/Weekender:

We were often asked by some of our regular customers if there was a fabric that was cost effective and hard wearing but would still give you the traditional look and feel of our traditional canvas tents. Oxford 230GSM is a thick, premium and waterproof synthetic man made polyester, perfect for weekend trips, festivals, garden glamping and events. As well as being quick drying and lighter than Cotton Canvas, it’s also more robust against rot, mould and mildew, making it the ideal choice for campers seeking a glam, stand-out tent, without taking on the additional care and upkeep associated with canvas. 

Alternatively, we have our Oxford UltraLite 100GSM range, The lightest ‘get up and go’ fabric in the range. With tents in this fabric weighing as little as 13KG, it’s particularly popular amongst busy families, regular festival goers, and party hire companies. The main advantages of this fabric are the quick drying, light weight and 0-no maintenance elements. As Oxford is a synthetic and non-breathable material, for safety and comfortability, we do not recommend stove installations. As with all polyester tents, condensation can naturally occur, so it is important to allow as much ventilation as possible. Our Oxford range is a water-proof fabric material which has a hydrostatic head rating of 3000mm which has proven great protection against moderate storms, however due to this, Oxford is a non-breathable material for highest performance. Canvas/Polycotton:

A unique and well thought out cotton (65%) and polyester (35%) blend, designed with the needs and glamping goals of modern day campers, and campsite owners in mind. This is a versatile and breathable fabric, which has been treated with a water, UV, and rot repelling agent and for that, has an extremely successful proven track record amongst pro campers and large scale campsites. Weighing in lighter but just as traditional looking as our 100% Cotton, and heavier but just as practical as tents in our Oxford range. Alternatively, we also have our Canvas Lite range, which is around 6kg lighter in carr weight and provides quicker drying time with no compromise on quality or luxury. 200gsm PolyCotton Canvas obtains a perfect balance and claims the best qualities from both contrasting fabrics.  In regards to our canvas tents which include Polycotton and Cotton, as these are a breathable material, although are still water-tight they are not designed for extreme weather conditions.

Our Fire RetardantCanvas/Cotton range are 100% cotton. New, improved and fire approved... This is Boutique's thickest and heaviest fabric, weighing in at an impressive 320gsm, which effectively increases robustness and subsequently reduces unwanted morning sunlight. Breathable and insulating, our fire retardant canvas is made from 100% cotton and has the option to have an integrated stove hole for an easy and practical Wood Burning Stove installation.

100% Cotton 285gsm uses a 480g PVC Ripstop groundsheet.

Fire Retardant 320gsm uses a 480g PVC Ripstop groundsheet.

Polycotton 285gsm uses a 480g PVC Ripstop groundsheet.

Polycotton Lite 200gsm uses a 420g PVC Ripstop groundsheet.

Oxford 230gsm uses a 480g PVC Ripstop groundsheet.

Oxford 100gsm uses a 180g PE groundsheet.

What's the difference between Polycotton 285gsm and Polycotton 200gsm (Lite)?

Essentially the 200gsm is just a lighter version of our classic Polycotton blend. The groundsheet in a Polycotton Lite is lighter as well as the canvas itself. The poles and all other aspects of the tent remain the same. You can browse all tents available in these fabrics here.

WHAT FABRIC IS THE NOVA AIR DOME TENT?

Nova Air Dome tents are made from Polycotton 200gsm.

DO BOUTIQUE CAMPING TENTS HAVE MOZY/MESH NETTING?

All Boutique Camping bell tents have mozzie/mesh netting windows, vents and doors. However, the Star Bell Tent is the only one that has a 360 degree mesh netting integrated as a secondary wall.

DO BOUTIQUE CAMPING TENTS HAVE A STOVE HOLE?

If you are looking to dabble in the luxuries of hot tenting, our fire retardant cotton tents come with a pre cut hole integrated into the wall. You will still need to instal a flashing kit to safely install a wood burning stove. Check out our demo videos on our flashing kit product page!

ARE BOUTIQUE CAMPING TENTS WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY?

Our tent groundsheets feature a flat-lay option so wheelchair users and prams are able to access their tent without obstruction. Camping can be made wheelchair-friendly with the right preparation and accommodations. Many campsites offer accessible features such as paved paths, accessible restrooms, and designated camping spots with level ground. Some national parks and outdoor recreation areas also have wheelchair-accessible trails and campsites with amenities like ramps, wider doorways, and accessible picnic tables. It's essential to research specific campgrounds or outdoor areas in advance to ensure they meet your accessibility needs. Additionally, bringing along any necessary equipment or assistance aids can help enhance the camping experience for wheelchair users.

CAN I ATTACH AN ADDITIONAL CANOPY OR AWNING TO MY BELL TENT?

Yes! Boutique Camping sell a range of awning and canopies which attach to our tents by securing them on to the tent a-frame spike. Some of our tent designs already have integrated porches, most deisgns will allow you to extend this space with an additional canopy however please check in the product description of get in touch if you are unsure.

DO BOUTIQUE CAMPING TENTS HAVE VENTS?

All designs, in all fabrics have vents located centrally in the tent ceiling. Additionally, every tent design also feature mesh windows, a secondary door and in the Star Bell 360° netting around the walls.

DO BOUTIQUE CAMPING TENTS COME WITH A GROUNDSHEET?

Yes! We have designed each tent to have a zippable groundsheet, which is already zipped to the tent before being packaged. Groundsheet fabric, weight and colour varies per each design. The benefits of a zipped in groundsheet, rather than one that is fully attached is that you can easily remove to clean, replace or dry separately.

WHAT ARE YOUR BELL TENT PROTECTIVE COVERS MADE FROM?

Our bell tent protector covers are made from polyester. They can protect your tents from rain, tree sap, leaves and sunlight. As this is made from polyester, this is a non breathable fabric and we do not recommend using a stove with this.

CAN I USE A STOVE IN MY TENT WITH A PROTECTIVE COVER ON?

Unfortunately, as the protective cover is a non-breathable oxford fabric, we would advise never to use a stove with a protective cover as it can cause a health & safety risk.

CAN YOUR INNER TENTS FIT ALL BELL TENTS?

Our inner tents have been specifically designed for our own designed bell tents, to fit their specification. Therefore, our inner tents are not guaranteed to fit in other companies tents, you would have to check directly with the other company for the layout and if our inner tents will fit their products. How many half-moon mattings will I need to cover the tent floor?

As our half-moon matting is half moon or semi-circle shaped, you will need to purchase two of the half moons for your size tent. For example, if you have a 4m tent, you will need to purchase 2x 4m half moon mattings to cover the entire footprint. If looking to purchase matting's for our Emperor or Tucana tents, are are still unsure of how many or the size to order, our matting size guide will help.

Our tent matting currently is available in 3 different materials; Polypropylene, Jute and Coir.

CAN I HAVE A PROTECTIVE COVER ON A DOUBLE-DOOR OR MULTI-DOOR BELL TENT?

We don't have a protective cover for multi-door or double-door unfortunately, these are only available on single door tents.

What should I consider when finding the best place to pitch my bell tent?

When selecting a pitch for your bell tent, consider factors such as flatness, drainage, and avoiding areas prone to flooding. It is also important to pitch with the back of your tent facing the wind and to ensure even tension on the guy ropes and centre pole. Can your bell tents be used as permanent structures?

While our bell tents are designed for leisurely purposes, we do not recommend using them as permanent structures. They are best suited for temporary camping or glamping experiences.

Can your bell tents be used as a long term structure?

Bell tents are made originally for leisure, not permanent use. Glamping sites however, do use them in summer with care. For long term setup, regular reproofing is crucial (recommended every 4-6 weeks).For extreme weather, note the centre pole's weight distribution; balanced guy ropes and straight pole ensure optimal performance and making sure this is up to standard throughout the time it is pitched. Do your bell tents have to be set up outside?

Our bell tents have been designed to be set up outside and pegged into the ground, as this is the most secure set up. If you wish to set up in any other way please note that this would be at your own discretion. We do not recommend erecting tents in doors, all of our tents require being fitted firmly with the pegs and guy ropes provided. However, if you are happy to find a wooden platform that you could screw the pegs down into, ensuring there was enough of an overhang to allow the guy ropes to stretch a meter away from the tent, then it is possible.

Can your bell tents be set up on sand/wooden base?

All of our bell tents have been designed to be set up outside and in the ground, so this is the only way that we recommend. However if you do set up on sand, please note that we don't recommend this for overnight camping and this would be at your own discretion.
If you were looking to have your tent up for longer than a day or in wet and windy weather conditions we would suggest buying sand pegs. Alternatively, you can pitch the tents on a wooden base as long as there is enough space for the guy ropes to be stretched by at least 1m and pegged into the ground or drilled
into the wooden base, however please note that this would be at your own discretion.

CAN I INSTALL A STOVE INTO MY TENT?

A stove with Polycotton, 100% Cotton or Fire Retardant Cotton can accommodate a stove. Any tent that has a breathable material can have a stove inside. What flashing kit do I need for a Traditional Woodburning Stove?

For our traditional wood burning stove, the flashing kit you require is in the description of the product, however you'll need the 75-160mm XL Flashing Kit.

DO YOUR STOVES COME WITH A FLASHING KIT?

The flashing kit is sold separately to our stoves and so you need to purchase one of these separate to a stove.

Does thetraditional wood burning stove fit on the pizza oven stand?

Yes! The stove stand is made to fit all of our stoves (except the portable wood burning stove) to give additional height and keep it elevated.

Can I buy extraflue sections for my stove?

Yes, we sell additional stove flues on our website. Just type "flue" in the search box and this will take you to where you want to be.

WHICH TENTS COME WITH A PRE-CUT HOLE?

All of our Fire Retardant Tents in both 4m and 5m will come with a pre-cut stove hole and flap. Any size above these will not have an integrated stove hole and flap and you'll need to cut a hole yourself using one of our flashing kits.

HOW DO I PREVENT MILDEW ON MY TENT?

Essential and thorough maintenance is crucial for canvas longevity. Ensure tent is fully dry before storage to prevent mould. Dampness promotes mould, so thorough drying is essential. WILL I GET CONDENSATION INSIDE MY TENT?

Condensation can occur in non breathable fabrics, such as our Polyester/Oxford tents, and this is completely normal. Ventilation can prevent and reduce the amount of condensation that you have in your tent. You can open up the sides during the day (when it’s not raining) to allow some air to flow through.

How should I clean & reproof my tent?

It is important to clean and reproof your bell tent regularly to maintain its waterproofing and durability. We recommend cleaning and reproofing every 4-6 weeks. Please refer to our website for detailed instructions on how to clean and reproof your tent.

Do your bell tents need to be weathered?

If your canvas/cotton tent is new or has been in storage, there is a small chance that on the first wet adventure you could notice some (very) small leaks. To avoid this, some like to 'weather' their tents prior to their adventure; a simple process which will close any tiny holes in the tent, ensuring the fabric is watertight. Although, this is not a compulsory process. Reproofing is needed when the beading stops.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY BELL TENT?

Before storing you bell tent, make sure it is completely dry. It is important to store it in a dry, leak protected space where minimal condensation occurs. Please also be mindful of spaces where rodents may enter.

Standard Delivery: Order online for automatic duty fees, taxes, and shipping calculation in listed countries including UK, EU, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand.

For Bespoke Shipping: Contact us for tailored quotes to other worldwide countries.

We don't delivery to Austria at the current point in time unfortunately but you can arrange your own courier to collect this from our warehouse.

How long does delivery take?

Place your order Mon-Fri before 14.30pm (GMT) and we'll dispatch your glamping-goods on the same day and they will be delivered the next working day. Subject to order quantity* 

UK: 1-2 Working Days

EU: 3-5 Working Days

US: 1-5 Working Days

Worldwide: 5-10 Working Days

If your order includes any 'pre-order' items, we will automatically hold the order, unless otherwise requested.

Can I choose a specific delivery date?

Yes, if you are looking for a specific date for your products to be delivered, we are able to request the warehouse to dispatch at a later date for your needs.

Can I arrange my own freight forwarder/delivery?

Certainly, you're able to do this. Contact us initially for your desired purchase and we'll guide you to place an online order or create an invoice for you. Once paid, then please share your courier details for collection and shipping. 

How long does the shipping process take?

Shipping times vary depending on the product and your location. Typically, it takes 1-2 business days for UK shipping, 2-5 business days for Europe & US and 3-10days for worldwide shipping.

Do you have your tents on display?

Unfortunately, we don’t have any physical stores or showrooms as we are online based. However, if you would like to see any additional photos to help you decide which tent is best for you, please get in contact via email; info@boutiquecamping.com

Can I return my ex-hire item/s?

Our ex-hire products are not covered under the Boutique Camping standard warranty. If you are not happy with the item/s, you are still entitled to a full refund within 14 days of receiving the product. The collection fee from £9.95 per box will be deducted from your refund if these products are returned as unwanted. Please make sure that you check your product thoroughly once received.

If you wish to return your product for a full refund or are looking to exchange for an alternative, please refer to the Return/Exchange/Refund Form and fill out all details accordingly.

Unwanted/undamaged returns/exchanges incur a per box fee starting from £9.95.
